Anchoveta

The reverse features the designs of two anchovies (Engraulis ringens) in the central part of the coin, together with an iconographic representation of anchovy fishing in ancient times (Moche Culture).

The National Coat of Arms, the inscription “Banco Central de Reserva del Perú”, and the year of minting are displayed in the obverse of all the Peruvian coins.

Cacao

The cacao tree (Theobroma cacao) is shown in the central part of the reverse side of the coin, together with an expanded design of the cacao fruit.

The National Coat of Arms, the inscription “Banco Central de Reserva del Perú”, and the year of minting are displayed in the obverse of all the Peruvian coins.

Quinua

A panicle of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) and a pot from where abundant quinoa grain is poured are displayed in the reverse of the coin.
