RENZO ROSSINI has been the General Manager of Banco Central de Reserva del Perú (BCRP) since September 2003.

Mr. Rossini earned a Master’s degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1986 after having completed his studies in Economics at Universidad del Pacífico in Peru in 1984. Renzo Rossini has attended several seminars abroad (CAF, IMF, IDB, The British Council, JICA and Studienzentrum Gerzensee-Switzerland). In 2005, he pursued a management specialization at the Top Management Program of Universidad de Piura.

Prior to this, Mr. Rossini was the Manager of the Department of Economic Studies (August 1991 - September 2003), Deputy Manager of the Department of Research and Global Analysisi (December 1990 – August 1991), and Head of Analysis of the External Sector (September 1988 – December 1990). He was also an analyst in the sections of Financial Analysis and Programming, Global Analysis, and Recent Economic Trends at Banco Central de Reserva del Perú.

Mr. Rossini joined the Central Bank in May 1982, after completing the XXIX University Extension Course of the BCRP as the top student in his class.

Mr. Rossini is also a professor of Economic Policy at Universidad del Pacífico. He is the author of several papers on monetary policy and has participated as a lecturer in several academic events discussing a broad range of central bank-related issues.
