MARYLIN CHOY has been the Central Manager of Financial and Monetary Operations of Banco Central de Reserva del Perú since June 1994.

Ms. Choy studied Economics at Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos (1980) and received a Master's in Economics degree from Rice University in 1982. Marylin Choy has completed several training courses abroad, including training courses in various central banks, the World Bank, CEMLA, Institute of World Development, BIS, FLAR, IBCA Limited, German Foundation, ECLAC, Studienzentrum Gerzensee, the IMF and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bordeaux), as well as some training courses offered by different institutions in Peru (Global Partners, IPAE, UNMSM, and ESAN, among other organizations).

She previously served as Manager of Credit and Financial Regulation (December 1990 - June 2004), as Deputy Manager of the Monetary Sector (March 1984 - February 1989 and May 1989 - December 1990), and as Head of the Financial Analysis and Programming Department (July 1982 - March 1984). Prior to this, she also worked at the BCRP Financial Analysis and Programming Department in the section of Financial Analysis and Programming and in the section of Bank Financial Institutions.

Marylin Choy joined the Central Bank of Peru in May 1977 after successfully completing the XXIV University Extension Course offered by the BCRP.
