JAVIER OLIVERA has been the Central Manager of Administration of the BCRP since March 2008.
Mr Olivera studied Economics at Universidad de Lima (1992) and received a Master's Degree in International Management from the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird), in 1991. He also completed the Management and Leadership Program at UPC and pursued various specialized courses in the areas of economics, finance, strategic planning, and human resources in the training programs organized by the IMF, the World Bank, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, CEMLA, JP Morgan, the New York Institute of International Finance, Kiel Institute of World Economics, Deutsche Bundesbank, The International Development Center of Japan, and ESAN, among other courses.
He previously served as Manager of Administration (December 2003 - February 2008), as Head of Market Analysis and Programming at the Department of International Operations (from June 1998 to December 2003) and as Head of the Balance of Payments section at the Department of Economic Studies (from August 1991 to June 1997), where he also served as an analyst from May 1983 to August 1990.
Javier Olivera joined the Central Bank of Peru in May 1983 after successfully completing the XXX University Extension Course offered by the BCRP that year.
